    Hair Dryer Trick Works !!

    Hi Guys, I recently had ring of death and purchased a nut and bolt repair kit from fleabay after installing it no joy , after this i heard about the hair dryer trick and blasted both sides of the main board for about ten minutes with a hair dryer on hot, then powered up and it has been perfect ever since..... bizzare

      Good work, what you have done is a reflow of the solder to get the contacts under the GPU and CPU connecting again since the board has warped under heat. If you pm me your e mail address I have a reflow guide on PDF that you may like to see for future reference.

          Heatgun fix is the best diy fix there is, hairdryer may just about get it hot enough.
