hi just had a 360 flashed by somone but update failed is the messege iget when turn on box so gave it back to him and he says hes got to dload 12 update codes by which one of them would return the box back to normal is this right or not dont know what he flashed it with but its a arcade machine any ideas or is he telling the truth?

Do you have a back up copy of the firmware off the drive? Is the drive toast (wont eject) also what drive is it?

i didnt flash it the drive does eject and i dont know what drive cos i gave it back to fix which he says by dloading updates which hes going to try to get the right one

What you need to do is read the firmware off the drive, create your custom firmware then send it back to the drive, but before you do any of that you need to know what drive it is.

So eject the tray of the xbox, open google homepage and search xbox trays, there are 4 current, the benq and liteon look the same, just the wires behind the face plate are differant.

I can flash all drives so its not a problem to update an xbox to the latest ixreme firmware

not sure what the guy means by dload update codes, the only thing i can think of is updates for the XBOX itself from xbox live to make some of the new games work, ie new dahsboard etc, did you have it connected to live when you played at home?, just trying to get a picture of whats going on, i flash the boxes myself but "12 update codes" beats me

just get a copy of hawkes the tom clancy game the up dates are on that it just updates the box its nothing to do with the flash

Your right guys i got carried away .

Sounds like the new nxe has failed to instal, there are a few fixes, best way is to get a wave 3 game like stated, hawx, then instal from there, if that fails, then the flash thats been done wont support wave 3 then it will need updating.

Get a clear memory unit, a wave 3 game or the new nxe off msoft and stick it on usb stick, instal from there.

You will need a memory unit.
