    Region Locks

Unsure if there's an actual solid answer to this, and I know I'm not the first for asking. But...
Is there any way, other than hardware chipping, of making region locked games play on consoles out of their assigned territories.

I understand you can"flash" the DVD drive to bypass the copywriting data on official Microsoft manufactured discs to allow you to use backup discs in the machine.

But I want to be able to play imports of games I can't get at home.

If it's impossible, I'll just leave it and move on, but as I'm planning on doing the "flash", I thought I'd look into this as well.

There is no work around for region lock. Its built into the game code, and not the console sadly.

Okay, it was just a query.
          Thanks for the definitive "no".
Better to know one way or the other, than spend hours (and discs) on investigating a "possibility" and finding out the expensive way.
