Xbox 360 2 red lights

me mates xox 360 has developed the 2 red lights he has rang x box n they want 68 quid to fix it. i have looked about on a few sites and seen it may be dew to over heating he has cleaned the thing and no joy. even his disk tray wont even come out. is there any easy fix for it or is a xbox repair. or betta stil a new core system

Any error codes?

Check all leads, as the dvd drive wont eject then suggesting dvd drive is to blame, so you have the firmware on it?

Na mate no firmware on just a basic 360 wont take the step to flash it ha ha
so is there out i can do about the drive sorry not sure if any codes ill ask him and come back yeah i know its a school boy error coming on here with no information

If its what i think it is then its going to be a new drive, spoof firmware to it and also you can then play backups.

As said check sata an power to back of the drive.

Can i make 2 red lights go into the RROD cause its still got a year and a half warrenty

towel trick would do it but again do it at own risk
