    IS the usb flash better than using the cd rom boot disc

      I use usb stick to boot into dos.

      Never tried the cd way.

      USB Never fails with me.

        depends on method you are using i guess but if fails dos never does for me as cgscott said

          got a new xbox free with me fone do i have to open it to flash it or can i just load the software/firmware by a cd/dvd

            You need to open it to connect it to the pc.

                        ive always used usb to boot into iprep never given me probs,
                        i did use floppy a couple of times, it took so long i was gonna have a heart attack as i thought it crashed whilst erasing banks.

                          Yes I have found using USB the most useful and it saves you using a CD, one thing I did notice on my PC is that it only boots from the back USB ports, I was trying to use the ones on the front at first and nothing was happening. I guess this varies depending on your PC.
