    Needs Fixing.

    Hi guys i have rescently made a thread saying about my xbox and that when i go on call of duty4/5

    on cod 4 the screen freezes and i can still hear my gun firing but my screen just freezes it does this on most other games aswel.

    On cod 5 lines come up and the xbox live wireless adapter light goes red

    i just dont know what too do with it at the moment i think i am either sending it back but not sure if i will be allowed as i have opened the xbox before and tryed the X-clamps but it is still doing it.

    any ideas otherwise i am selling it on ebay and buying an arcade version.

      Sounds like the graphics chip is on its way out.

      Try leaving the box open and see if this help.

      Overheating usually causes this and the E74 error looks very possible.

          Go on scotty tell him ..is the graphics card moving away from its position due to expansion and contraction what causes rrod?

              X-clamp fix time. Don't wait for rrod, just change them now.

                  i agree replace them , there is a guide on youtub on how to if you are unsure , it will take you about a hour to do

                                  Screws and washers. Just get a cheap x-clamp repair kit off ebay. It will come with instructions but there are plenty of x-clamp replacement videos on youtube you can watch to get a better idea.

                                                  ok mate sorry gonna take it apart and leave it ova night and buy a rrod kit and see if i can fix it with that but if not Jackpot's pal could well be coming too your house
