once you have read the drive and got the key take the probe out you dont need that any more when you cick get key and cra eate dummy din open as source it should then ask you to save make sure you do it will do all this for you it will then ask if you want to auto load extreme you will have to have loaded a copy of the 1.6 extreme firmware for lite on and put it in the firmware folder in j/f it will then load the two files in firmwaretool32 on j/f check the keys match if they do press save to file yu then go to the mykflash tab and press lite on erase you should get at the end status 0x72 and the drive is still in vendor mode press write

Thats if you want to go the jungleflasher way. I have done loads of these drives via the dos method. I find the dos method easier and better an there is no messing about with via drivers

yes i agree i use iprep but he said hes using the pro version and thats usb and that wont work for extracting the key i use j/f to get the key and build the hacked firmware then iprep to flash

You use the probe to gain the firmware off the drive, once you got that create your hacked firmware thro jungleflasher, erase then write thro dos.

Have a look around for my guide on how to do it

you need to go into the device manager find the via card disable it then go into windows then system32 then drivers find viamraid.sys delete it then back to device manager enable the via card you should see a yellow mark on the card if you do reboot pc go back see if yellow mark is there if it is then just install the i/o port drivers that came with j/f and that stops the freezing

If you have tried to flash before removing the driver you will more than likely need to recover the drive in dos as it wont have any firmware on the drive.
