Hdmi problem

I've been meaning to ask this for a while. i updated my dash about Feb this year andever since i have not been able to connect via hdmi lead. When i try the screen on the tv is blank.

Is there a way to put the original dash back on . Also i've just got 4 back up games and tried to play them. It says reading disc then flickers a second and goes to the start up screen with the words xbox360 on it. I am using the same discs and software to burn the games i've always used. I can't try any other back ups because i haven't got any here. It plays original 360 games ok. Has anyone had this problem where the backups wont play. Any input on these two questions

You can put the old dashboard on by hooking the hard drive up to your pc and deleting the new one and putting the old file back in.

As for the not reading games not sure why that is.

Same discs and burning should be fine.

Might be that your laser in the drive is getting lazy and finding it hard to read the copy games.

How old is the DVD drive and what version is it flashed with?

Just out of curiosity what make of discs you using?

Thanks m8. Not sure what firmware but was flashed about nov last year with latest at the time. It's only the Arcade version so cant connect it to pc. Is there another way ? and discs are Aone, always used them. Console. I have had less than a year and rarely go on it these days.

Do you play online with it mate?

The only thing is if you manged to get the old dashboard back as soon as you go online it updates to the new one.

I recommend you upgrade the firmware of the drive as well mate.

No i did at first to see what it was like. But i liked to watch movies and when you do that it wants you to update.
They were a few games i downloaded the other day.Fairly new ones can't think what they were off the top of my head m8.

Puzzled as to why the xbox wont recognize hdmi after upgrade. Did red some other people with the same problem but no solution. A common fault apparently was no audio on hdmi, but i couldnt and still cant get anyrhing. Thats why i was wondering/hoping i could have put original dash back as everything was ok.

Do a factory reset on the machine mate. That will put it back to original state when the machine was built.

Only thing being you lose all info.

Game saves etc.

Not bothered about losing saves etc. Had a look for that option previously but couldn't find it anywhere Nearest i could find was initial setup which didn't give an option for factory reset

As for games, what media are you using? Aone and verbs are best.
The firmware will need upgrading for wave 3 support. You could also try 'POT' adjustment on the lazer.

Run a game through ABGX to see whats going on.

K cunny noob to the 360 m8 How do i factory reset

Ok just reset factory settings and hdmi still wont work. Anyone any ideas why this is ?

Ok m8 done as you suggested and it comes up saying factory reset. However my profiles , game saves and scores still show up afterwards.nSo it doesn't ;look like it has been reset to factory settings

Check the hdmi setting on the dashboard mate.

They may have changed when the dash updated.

There is a few tweaks etc that you can do with the hdmi now to improve color and movie watching.
