No its not as simple as that, each drive is paired with each motherboard on the 360, you will need to read the firmware of the liteon before you can do it, you might as well just flash the liteon.

If the 360 is within the 3yrs that ms give you for RROD and E74 then send it back for repair

            mate i had same problem.
I just got another drive that was the same as old one i.e model and firmware and connected the board to it and it worked fine (also i recommend new ribbons)

OK again. YOU NEED THE KEYS FROM THE ORIGINAL DRIVE. YOU CANNOT JUST PUT A REPLACEMENT DRIVE INTO A XBOX 360 DUE TO EACH MOTHERBOARD WILL ONLY ACCEPT A CERTAIN KEY REGARDLESS OF MAKE AND MODEL.

You cannot read a key off the motherboard. I have stated this in my earlier post. If in doubt goto team executer site, jungleflasher live support. Do a little research on this.

IF YOU DONT HAVE THE CORRECT KEY FROM THE XBOX YOU ARE TRYING TO USE THEN ITS A EXPENSIVE DVD PLAYER.
