IO ERROR why?help

everytime i burn an image backup of my game it doesnt work,everything looks like it is burning then near the end i get an io error and the disc is knackered burned and unusable all the time ,i am using img burn i am burning at 4 times

tryed that still didnt burn correctly,it used to be ok it would at least burn a few backups but now none ,i have updated firmware a while ago could it be that?ive tried burning on 1x speed through to 4x still no joy any more ideas thnx

PC or laptop, if pc, change power connection and sata/ide channel

Pop side of case off, look at failing burner, swap the power connector and data connectors inside for spares, if in doubt google it m8
