How to play Wave 4 Games without updating. Activate.iso/0800 [REAL & EASY!]

Got the picture on the screen as shown in the guide, ejected the activate.iso disc and put PES 2010 in but all i got was the XBOX 360 logo.

I have a samsung drive, and the last time i updated the firmware was in 2007 or early 2008, anybody know what firmware i might be on?

The last game i ever played was gears of war 2, and it worked fine.

Can you flash a samsung drive using a USB to SATA/eSATA adapter?

I ask because I only have a laptop so that is really my only option

I have tried this method and it works on my Liteon ixtreme 1.6. Lips the nr 1 hits works very well.

The only strange part is that it looks like the xbox cant read the disk. It tells me to eject the disk. After I eject the disk and put the lips disk in, the game will start.

and i can play games i downloaded? downloaded mx vs atv reflex
i just burn the game to a dvd+R and play it if i done this?

You have to burn the game to a DVD+R DL (dual layer) disc. Games will not fit on regular DVD Rs

Xbox's do look identical but inside they have different drives.

Im guessing and it may be a good guess that the drive that works is flashed with 1.6 IX and the one that doesnt is flashed with an older version of IX which means the activate disk wont work.

ive done this burnt to disk doing everything to a tea via instrutions but when i insert disk into 360 it just gives the inset this disk into a xbox 360 for it to work ????

ive havent a clue what firmware is on my xbox it plays older 360 games i bought it flashed

You dont need this disk. hitachi 1.51 plays all games all waves.

You do not need to use the Activate.iso disc as you have a Hitachi drive with 1.51 firmware this will boot any wave. But if you are going to play on live then always run through abgx360 to make sure that the iso is stealthed patched or you will get banned...

a\ ot of the problems ont his thread probably down to the media used, verbs are expensive but gr8 i use aones for all my uses and they work well on my benq and samsungs just fyi
