Play Wave 4 Games Workaround

Just found this on xbox scene and its been confirmed working all you need is the Wave 3 patcher and WX360 which I will link to below.

Got a banned box, or don't play on Live?

Having Wave 4 problems, but don't want to or can't get your 360 flashed with newer firmware?

Then check this out ... we (me and a crony of mine) have checked this out on multiple banned boxes, and it works every time.


Get an untouched ISO of a Wave 4 game ... we used Cars Race-O-Rama.

Open the ISO with WX360 or any other program that will open an ISO.

Find the folder called $SystemUpdate and copy it onto your desktop, or some other easily found location on your computer.

Grab yourself a USB memory stick and put the contents of the folder ... not the folder, just what's in it ... on the root of the memory stick.

Patch the ISO as you normally would with a Wave 3 patcher.

Burn the disc as normal.

Insert the memory stick into a USB socket on your 360.

Open the 360's tray and pop in the freshly burned disc.

Turn off the 360, then turn it on again.

You will be prompted for an update.

Accept the update.

The console will update then reboot.

That's it ... your 360 will now play patched wave 4 games.

This is obviously for those without Hitachi and without 1.6 firmware.

yes but only for use on a banned console, if you use the game on live you will get banned.

dont suppose any1 as got other links to this everytime i try the links it says error took to long to download

can i take the updat needed of a game wav4 disk ive got already burnt as ive tried it this way and it doesnt ask to update when i insert disk ect..
