    firmware 1.6 can i play mw2 on tuesday without getting banned

    hi all i got my xbox flashed by a mate of mine and im glad i did its well cheaper but iv heard i wont be able to play cod6 as it is wave 4 dont really know what this means but if you could help i would be very greatful. so my question is can i play a copied version cod6 on tuesday {when its released} or not. THANKS IN ADVANCE

      No if its 1.6.

      Yes if its 1.61.

      Why didnt he flash with 1.61? You obviously have a liteon drive. You will need to patch the game to wav 3 also if you are downloading the game yourself make sure you check it first as there are a few rips of COD Modern Warfare 2 out there.

          I'm a little confused. There is no 1.61 for a liteon drive isn't there? There is only 1.61 for Samsung and Benq - or have I missed something?

          In any case, the evidence suggests that it is not safe to go on live at the moment witn ANY flashed firmware, you have suggested this yourself in other posts cgs.

                  thanks for the replys lads i appreciate it im actually not sure if its 1.6 or 1.61 so your sayin i can not play atall if its 1.6 or i can play with boot disc

                      If its 1.61 it will play without activate.iso, if its 1.6 then it will not. If your drive is a liteon then you must be on 1.6 (there is no 1.61 for liteon yet), so you should need the boot disk.

                      Also, I accept the reports of people still playing online with flashed firmware but in my opinion they are living on borrowed time. I would certainly not advise anyone to play live with a flashed box at the moment, at least until the current ban wave is over and we have absolute proof that firmware cannot be detected by M$.
