    Highly unlikely.
The RROD is caused by overheating of the internal components or if the power cable isn't connected in the back enough as I have found out myself before.

I think it's just purely co-incidence that they both have got the RROD error.
    HTPC:
Antec Media Fusion / Windows 7 Media Centre /
    ASUS M4A78-VM 780G / AMD Athlon II x2 250 @ 3.2Ghz / 4.0gb GEIL Black Dragon /
    2x 1TB HDD.

    xbox360:
    120GB - Elite - Lite-on - iXtreme LTv1.1

    PS3
    40gb phat. 3.30fw.

    Nintendo Wii:
    Softmodded 4.1E. NeoGamma R8 Beta 15.

You got the RROD repair kits?
Make sure you purposely overheat them after you re-assemble them, then leave to cool to allow the re-flow of the solder joints.

If in 3 yrs warrenty send it back.

The rrod is a general malfuntion that is usually caused by the GPU over heating and the main board warping. The x clamp fix is only tempory. Is will go again eventually. The hard drive wont cause a rrod as far as i know.

Not true i have repaired many consoles. Even a few that i done from the 2005 manufacture date are still working.

As long as the repair is done properly then there is nothing to suggest further failure although you will find that if you take it to a shop to get repaired there is no guarantee of time of usage.

I have subsequently had a few returned boxes that have been repaired by others and i brought back to life.

As i said as long as the repair is done properly then no further failure should happen.

I dont do RROD repair. That was just what has been stated on dedicated XBOX forums about the repairs. Usually last between 6-12 months from what i have gathered. Those RROD i have seen have either gone back for repair or been bninned.
