m5 bolts and washers

hi guys call me wot ever you want but im a bit confused wen doin the 3 red light fix you remove the clamps clean the heatsink and chips add new heatsink compound then put the bolts in im assuming the bolts screw into the heatsinks?

whats the best ones to get m5 10 mm or m4 12 mm?
