    JASPER CHIPSET

    Hi
    Son wants a new xbox elite for xmas.How can I be sure It has the new jasper chipset?Any advice/tips welcomed

    Basically all new xbox bought from any store (no preowned) will have a good chipset inside.

    So basically buy a new xbox also covered by the 3 years warrenty for e74 and rrod

      It can RROD the same as older models, not quite as often though.

        If you buy a brand new elite or arcade at the minute chances are you'll land a Jasper.

        Also, if you check on the back of the console near the barcode (bit that is visible on the top of the box) and check the voltages the Jasper is shown as 12V, 12, 1A.

          Just to add, the design of the boxes are slightly different on the new elites. GAME have only jasper elites now so you could buy from them .
