Please help...Lite-On

dear all,
I have bought an xbox elite system and all games was working fine until i bought MW2 and GTA LC, i tried the activate.iso and also nothing worked so i guess i need to update to 1.6
Im totally new and i dont have the kit CK3, so can i update my drive without it??
Also i dont have the original files of my drive cause i bought it flashed so it there an idiot step by step guide on how to do it?

Welcome mate.
If you say your drive is flashed its probably running 1.5 / 1.51.
As my previous post in a response to this check out the Jungleflasher website and the guide on there.

First of all you will need to use the eject trick to put the drive in vendor mode. (Tutorial shows you how to do this) once in Vendor mode follow it to update your drive, you'll need to extract the dummy.bin from it which will contain all your keys.

Once you have your keys you can go about using JF to erase the drive and flash it with the 1.6fw - it maybe worth waiting though for the new iXtreme LT which will be due out soon which has wave 4 support.

Also, i'd recommend buying a ck3 kit, or even a cheap ck2 kit to power your drive, makes the whole getting your drive in vendor mode easier. Also make sure you have a VIA6421 card with everything installed correctly as JF tells you.
