How to Check if your banned without going online.

Here a quick guide on how to check if banned without connecting to online.

First unplug any memory devices from the console.
Then attach the console to the ethernet.
Got to systems settings on the dashboard.
Go to network setting and click test connection.
This will test the network. When asked to update click NO!!!!!.
Then click on cancel.
The Yellow button will now give you more info.

You will have a list of codes.

The Z line is the one you want to look at.

If you have Z: 8015-190D (see this = banned)
If you have Z: 8015-1002

This means you have not been flagged yet and the console is safe.

It is advised if you get the Z: 8015-190D code not to go online until new firmware is released etc.

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CONNECT TO LIVE IF YOU HAVE THIS CODE BUT HAVE NOT YET BEEN BANNED.

But your automatically signed in to LIVE once your system is on if the Ethernet cable is connected?

I'd recommend basically just keeping your Ethernet cable unplugged if you think you'll be banned until the new FW is out.

Ah fair enough.
My console hasn't been banned and I'm still running the good code, I checked yesterday.
It's a strange banning process at the minute.

so if l had this and then install stock f/w r u saying the box will be ok then ? has anyone tried this , it would prove this works

I assume that if the box has not yet been flagged then returning to stock maybe an option providing it is only drive firmware they check and not all the other things.

I am not returning mine to stock and the RROD i just fixed got banned instantly.

l just tried my spare that hasnt been touched for 2 weeks if not more, and its banned if u remove from internet and press select it comes up on the screen anyway (console is banned ) . l know it was fine last time l looked and my daughter only used for streaming movies and never played on it , l could try to return to stock just to see but its unlikely

If you test what i put in mate you will definetly have that code and returning to stock wont change it.

What i thought you meant was returning to stock on the 1002 code and going online to see if you get banned.

Yes mate advised if not yet Knowingly banned (as in been kicked off while online) do not sign into live until new firmware flashed.

Your console must have been banned by signing in.

l know the l tried it last week for a minute but that was a minute to long thats 6 now , but my old trusty with 5.3 on as done be proud so l restored to stock to see if would carry on with its great service have another spare that never been flashed and l will save that for when the new f/w comes

l had them in the kids rooms u cant bet them as a media centre ,, they where mostly rrod ones l repaired m8 so never cost me any more than 20 each , well have to start buying again after xmas and build my stock up again

Dont ms just have a database where they just enter your console serial number which will then ban you? So unplugging your ethernet in theory should have no affect. Once your consoles serial number is in the database its game over.

ok i jus did this turns out im not worthy either.. jus wondering if i geta rrod or e74 faulty console can i jus swap sed bits out?? or are the all interbred so to speak?
