Xbox360 dvd drive dead ?

hi i havr recently flash my dvd hitachi drive worked well for about 2 hours then when i moved it i did not remove the 2 wires for mode b it touch the metal case and shorted out .
the 360 powers i can sign into live but dvd drive wont eject or spin and ideas
i heard about recovering the key so i can install new drive but dunno how to with a dead drive. any help

so you did not flash it then and yaw mate hate to be the barrer of bad news but you have a expencive dvd player myfriend unless its a xbox 360 origanal then there a chip called the infectious chip that can read it off the main board but takes alot of fiddling

couldnt you just take the pcb board out and put it in another drive?or would that not work?

naa if fno power is going through he has fried the pcb board itsself

it wont play games unless you get the key off the drive mate

iff its the origanal 360 and your good at soldiering then read the nand iff not look at chronos drunken guide to unbanning your xbox it will work the same aswell for the keys u can buy some broken motherboard off ebay with keys

nope never readit they guide i read onflashing sed nowt about a key

when you flash your ment to read then erase then write when you read it gives u a bin file calle dkey.bin what ever guide you read was wrong and how did u end up shorting it as jungleflasher has mode b option

i used crossed wires meth to do it pin 0 pin 9 hold them togetha for a split second thne drive is in mode b now i now it flashed ok as i was playin on it the wire fromthe crossed wire touched the main casing

i would of just mode b'd it with j/f how did u manage to flash it without spoofing and did u use jungle flasher to flash??
