    x box 360 wireless

hi all the kids want x box in their bedroom but its around ?50 each for the wireless adaptor. Can you put a wireless adaptor in by using a ethernet adaptor to make it a usb port so you can plug the wireless adaptor in or do you have to use the x box 1. Any advice would be great thanx

you can get hold of 3rd party stuff like a wifi bridge that plugs into the ethernet port.

Or just run ethernet cable to the router.

I agree that the official hardware is horseshit in terms of cost, its unjustifiably expensive.

That being said the new N grade cards should depreciate the value of G grades so expect the prices to fall drasticly and bargains to appear on fleabay.

              i dont think so tim.

Theres a need for specific drivers for that sort of tomfoolery and no windows to install them on to.

The cheapest way i can think of to connect multiple xboxes would be to run cable from all of them upstairs to a seperate router that can link with the router downstairs via wifi.

The second although more expensive would be to get a few bridges like these Belkin Wireless WIFI Network Bridge Gaming Adaptor 54G on eBay (end time 19-Nov-09 14:04:04 GMT)
These just plug into the wall, then plug into the ethernet port of the xbox.
Its still gonna be 25 quid a box though.

or like i said with the release of the newer N spec addaptors the old ones are going cheap, you can pick up an official 360 adaptor off ebay now for between ?5 and ?15 as people offload them from upgrading.

I can safely say that patching a wifi usb adaptor to the ethernet wouldnt work without some serious hacking.

How about the homeplug option plug and play ease of use, and you can by them in sets etc much cheaper.
