Bad Rips

jus got a bad rip of a game. was wondering can i still burn it off to dvd as my box is banned anyhoooser? or will it not play, have run it through ABGX360 and tried to patch it.

If you're banned it doesn't matter. You don't even need to bother with abgx.

What drive have you got. If you have a liteon 1.6 drive you will need a boot disk.

Samsung 1.61 PLays new games
Benq 1.61 Plays new games
Hitachi 1.51 Plays new games

If you have earlier firmware on the drives you will need to patch them to play.

Just put on one of the early xtreme firmwares before they introduced stealth check and you won't have to worry about any activation disk or reflashing again.

what do you mean by bad rip???

you mean wave4 file?? most new games that come out now will be wave4, i just convert it to wave3 and works spot on

Ok my concerns were confirmed on abgx chat, wave 5 confirmed(but again only hearsay)

As your banned there is little point in running abgx. But as your firmware does a stealth check then you will still require the activate iso disc to load future waves other than your firmware supports, of course unless you want to update your firmware on the drive.

Be aware, liteons dont have unstealthed firmware as far as i know atm

I can confirm Wave 5 is here. Left 4 dead 2 was the first one to be released.

Creed 2 is also Wav 5.

Seems this came at the same time as the dashboard update for Twitter etc.

Alunfennell was pretty spot on in a previous thread stating that Microsoft will most probably relase new Wave on a more regular basis.

Thus detering proper stealth firmware from being produced.

I can confirm as i have both the games here and have ran them through ABGX.
