    sorry another noon question

My sons xbox 360 was flashed about 2 years ago and I'm not sure what it was flashed with.

He has started playing it again lately so its down to me to download him some games.

My question is should his console play all games such as wave 3 & 4, he doesn't want to go on live so thats not a problem.

I've been using a program called isopatcher to convert the latest ones to wave 2 & wave 1 but have had mixed results.

Do i need to convert these iso's if I dont need live?

I read somewhere that if I dont want to use live I should reflash to an earlier fw so that it doesn't do a stealth check.

What version of iextreme were around about 2 years ago and did it have a stealth check back then?

It's a Hitachi drive and I use imgburn at 4x on verbatim dl disks

    thanks in advance

It more than likely is 1.4 thats on the drive. You will either have to reflash to 1.51 or carry on the way you doing it.

If i were to reflash to 1.51 how would I find my drive key as I didn't do the original flash?

When you put the drive into mode B and do a dump of the firmware, all relative info is in the orig.bin file. Be sure to save this as if the drive were to brick while reflashing, you can just obtain another drive and spoof it.

Thanks cunny, one final question patching the isos to wave 2 seems to work, well it did for gh metallica, but for mw2 it says I need a required update, it goes through the update process, reboots but says same thing again that I need a required update.

Do you think this is the fall dashboard update? I dont think our dashboard has ever been updated because its never been connected to the internet.

I've just downloaded the fall update to a usb stick is it wise to update or am i likely to bugger something up with the updae (i.e microsoft will realise its modded and stop some features working)

          Cheers

Once you update your drive (if you do) there is a new wave 5 just hit on left 4 dead 2. This release has the latest dash update with facebook and twitter. That should be ok to update to. I dont do patching of the iso's as we use live.
