i have a liteon drive with ixtreme 1.6 firmware,is it safe to go online yet as i dont want to be banned.

You could try one of the previous firmwares which use non-stealth if you're in a rush. There is always a chance you might get banned but less likely than if you go with 1.6 Make sure you check your burns for splitvid too.

I repaired a box last night and was online. Samsung flashed with 1.51.

Not sure if the so called ban wave has passed or not but it took the updates etc and i even registered a new gamertag with the console and got my month free.

I'm sure I heard of some people getting banned a few days ago. I use live too and have been ok so far but am using xtreme firmware.
Btw 1.51 for anything other than hitachi is stealth so you're living dangerously

Yeah i only tried it to see if it went online.

Updated to 1.61 now.
