Flashing power icon, 360 not working

Good morning, i was wondering if ayone can help.
Turned on my xbox this weekend, the power icon kept flashing then i went to open the tray it said opening and that was it. i can use other feature like browse movies etc on HDD. but light keeps flashing and then switched off after a while. No red lights of anything.
Anyone got any ideas. be much appreciative????

Im assuming its a Samsung drive, try tapping the top of the 360 as its 'opening'

Samsung drives have been known to catch.

Now back off my hols i found the problem, you would not believe it. the lady of the house was dusting and she flick a switch on the executer thats all it was, something so simple.
