    A Memoir, Team Hyperx

Dont know if to post this, but what the hell, draw your own conclusions on this. Please keep an open mind about it. Also remeber these guys made it possible for liteons and xbox 360 DVD drive hacks

nice link cunny ive been using iextreme firmware and was never aware of all the technical skill and hard work those guys went to just to keep us all playing our little hobbies. it makes you angry when you see all the moaners who got banned on live and blame it on the iextreme team. hopefully if those folks read this they may be more thankful to them

Few intersting points have come out of that post that is why i am not speculating, but do people remember when the 83 series liteon was first dumpable and was charging at the foundmy.com?

Radiohead put it far better than i could possibly manage:
        ?All evidence has been buried
        All tapes have been erased
But your footsteps give you away
        So you're backtracking?
Yeah... all i got from this was petty greed.
Donations are one thing, but it looked like the new firmware was geared towards turning a profit yet again.

Im not stating people should not be compensated for their efforts, but when you get into the business of reverse engineering someone elses software you implicitly realise that you cant legaly, ehticaly or moraly ask to turn a profit off that work.
Its akin to plagerising an entire book and changing a few words then expecting to be lauded for your effort.

On the bright side though, people can now stop speculating about the cat in the bag.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.

All I can say is thank God they didn't release a hardware solution. I remember some of these guys from the xbox1 days and made the mistake of buying a Hyperx chip... never again! (hooray for xecuter).

I wonder if this means LT will be the final firmware.
