    360 rrod repair

I have fixed a couple of 360s with rrod. I use m5 bolts nylon and steel washers, with artic silver thermal paste. Once repaired the boxes work well for about three weeks then they go wrong again. Any ideas why this repair is not more permanant.

The RROD is caused mostly by GPU failure.
    Hairline cracks in the solder.

The X-clamp fix is only a temp fix.

The most effective fix is to reflow the solder (extensively heat) the GPU chip and repair cracks.

I have repaired many consoles using this method. Although not every console can be brought back to life if it has been tampered with previous.

a reflow is done with perfessional equipment

the overheating way with either using the xbox switched on with no fans attatched or using a heatgun isnt a very good idea has these can damage the xbox even more.

The heatgun is an effective way. The only difference in reflow with proper station is the fact that its exact temp control and cooling.

Done properly with heatgun returns same results.

I have multiple boxes to prove so.
