Camping is both a valid strategy and a serious psychological weakness.

If your strategy relys on keepiing an enemy contained and [to a degree] artificialy weakened then that means your largely incapable in the first place of defeating an enemy on equal terms.

Therefore you just need to find the weakpoints of the camp hold and exploit them to your advantage, as soon as you manage to get out into the open their arse will colapse and you have the psychological upper hand.

As a team we used to come up against campers all the time and figured strategies to combat against it.
For instance most modern maps have atleast two respawn points, or where theres only going to be a single point at least two methods of exit (anything less is just shoddy workmanship by the map designers)
As a team keep the campers largely focused on one exitpoint or spawn and let a couple of players flank via the others.

Snipers are good here for short term respite, pop a few skulls for the safety of the far side of a map and the other team begins to panic and gets over run by the primary team holed up at the spawn, then move on to phase two and have someone camp at your spawn with whatever passes for remotely detonatable ordinance in the game.

The idiots will eventualy make their way back for round two and you just detonate the area whilst the rest of your team runs interference by spamming with nades and wide fire guns [like shotguns, rpg's, miniguns etc] as a diversion to protect the strategy. now they know that their strategy no longer works their ****ed and easy pickings as they scramble to defend without a cohesive plan

I used to play with a large group of people back in the day and we'd split into two teams and run plays just like this on each other for weeks at a time to learn every choke point and bottleneck on a map, devise the best placements to set up traps and figure out the ideal strategies for each map we played.

We used to play several different games and strats that worked in one generaly transfered nicely into another.

We used to love getting into servers full of campers and owning everyone, then watching them whine about it post match.

The point is if you cant beat a strategy its more a reflection on you than it is on the game.
Otherwise you just end up like that sniveling wierdo in that video.

The best thing to do is get on with a group of friends, play privately for a few weeks learning the mechanics and devising strategies and then go public and dominate each and every match whilst people wonder WTF is going on.

Anyone else come across the ~~~~ers with 2 shotties that go through walls, round corners and have greater range than a sniper rifle. They do my head in.

This games alright, but people take it far too seriously. Plus its nowhere near as good or as much fun as the greatest team FPS ever, Star Wars Battlefront 2.....
