I've been on for a week now no problem.

Using all the games i had before.

Nothing is set in stone but i'm assuming its sefe to go back online.

My son have been offline since it started, and wanted to go back on (this saturday), and i stated the risks ? he went to the sign up page and sitting on the screen it stated that he was banned for using unauthorised equipment ?

He has not been online prior, consol was not connected to the internet, he had no game in the consol, all he did was went to the sign up page to submit payment and the message was there.

Is that how its done ? i thought that they detected wave 4 games ?

The box may have been flagged when the banning started.

I believe they knew who had modded consoles and banned certains ones.

Its not a hard thing to do to detect. Lots of speculation. Although they do a massive ban every year near christmas. I know people who got away with it and played right through the ban.

As always its your own risk if to go onto xbox live with a flashed xbox. I for 1 have got thro the ban wave, on a BENQ updated from 1.51 to 1.61 mid wave. Also been online with flashed box now for over 2 years and no ban.

Most drives that have been banned have been liteons. Regardless of revision of Ixtreme on the drive. Remember this is the 1st ban wave for the liteon so there could have been flaws in the firmware, who knows. Niether side would admit to it so its all speculation.

Again some people have gotten away from it, like me and few others but a few i have flashed been banned, took a while to get them but they eventually got caught.

As regards to going online and being safe from a ban? Dont flash your drive and that will be the only way to be 100% safe from a ban.

some folks on here suggested a few weeks back to wait for iextreme 1.7 as they thought microsoft could detect the older versions of the firmware. im a bit scared to try going online myself until 1.7 comes out, if it comes out.

Why be scared. If your banned your banned and if the ban was still happening then i would be banned by now.

im using iextreme 1.6 on a sammy drive does the version and drive make any difference to the chances of getting caught.

they detect from your 360 is chipped when you first come online with the modded 360 but should be ok now

there is no proof of detection it is specalation its like OJ simpson everyone knew he was guilty but with out proof nothing is solved assumptions can be made far as we know microshit might of desided to ban becouse they felt like i know someone who's xbox was not evan modded and they banned him its just weather the computer flags you

You obviously haven't been keeping with the news of LT.

No-one knows how long its going to be.
I'm starting to think we might never see another c4eva release.

So it could be up to someone else to make firmware work.

As for going on live who cares if you get banned. Another box is only 80 quid.

Hardly a lot of money. Say 2 games you download and burn.
