whats the best fw to use on a hitachi drive??

it's been flashed b4 about 2 yrs ago, what fw was used i don't no but it does'nt play wave 4,5 games, and has never been on line..

no firmware is safe evan LT wont be safe there is always a risk i mean people was lk liteon is bad i was on through ban wave with no ban there is no proof whats bad and whats good

Are you banned. Or haven't you checked?

Read back on reports dating back to November 2007. Hitachi 1.51 wasn't out then and people got banned.

This is a cleanup that microsoft do every year.

Are you suggesting people with hitachis go buy other drives and flash and spoof to be safe?

Your rubbish about once a year, last year they banned people for promos, this year C4E has confirmed ALL iXtreme`s behaviour to be detectable in accordance with backups.
Hence the new LT firmware being developed.

No custom firmware is 100% safe on XBL. Yes maybe the latest versions of ixtreme (1.51 hitachi, 1.6 liteon, 1.61 sammy and benq) are detectable online due to certain behavour types of the CFW.
Nobody knows how m$ detect flashed drives, what sort of checks they do, its only speculation.

So anyway, as i have stated before, its your own choice and risk if you use XBL with a custom firmware on your drive. There are no good/bad advice in my eyes.

Some sites say use latest firmware avail for your drive, so that would be hitachi 1.51 in this case. People have been banned on this firmware, but so have people on benq 1.61 which is the same firmware i am running with no ban. Allot of people have said await new Lite Touch Firmware BEFORE going onto xbox live, again as always ITS YOUR CHOICE AND RISK REGARDLESS OF THE CUSTOM FIRMWARE THAT IS ON THE DRIVE!!!

just flashed 1.51 fw to a 46 drive but it still wont play new games, do i need the iso activation disc?
