hi all ive just got new arcade version with a 256mb memory. But i want to download the mappack bundle on cod 5 which is 1.4g. So have i wasted my time buying the arcade version ? or is it just me being thick

You'll need a hard drive to attach to your console.

You can pick up a cheap 20gb HDD from a well known auction site.

so what is the point of a 256mb memory when you cant even put a simple download on ? what a pain

I think the intention is to save smaller games from the arcade variety? A major reason this type of console is the cheapest on the market is the lack of memory.

i feel like a right plonker. their version of a arcade must have pac man & asteroids from the 80s. what a scam

got my boy an arcade for christmas, with 512mb, he turned it on and it asked if he wanted a system update, he applied it, it was about 180mb or something, once done he tried to play a game and it said he couldn't, checked the system and apparently the other 316 is used for system resources, duh, he had to unistal the update b4 he could play the game, im lucky enough though that i have a hard drive from his banned console, what the point in that but

Get a 20gb hdd from flea bay. I got arcades and just done that, everythin fine after.

got 60g from gamestation ?40 used but works. when i went to put it in i realised that the 256mb was only a internal memory.
