    Me and my daughter both have xbox's but was wondering was thier a way of playing against each other at home with out subscribing to xbox live in differnt rooms?

      Use a link cable.

      Although nothing wrong with getting live. Only 27 quid for the year.

              Just put them on the same network through a router, then in games use the "system link" option.
