one red light on xbox 360 what is it

hi i have one red light on the grandsons xbox 360 . it has been flashed before and also had the red ring of death sorted on it . is it worth getting it fixed again or am i just throwing my money to the wind

hey mate get it fixed but don't let anyone else do it try it yourself.

i had the same prob b4 but i fixed it with a heat gun.

all you need to do is take out the heat syncs and heat the motherboard up. you will need new thermal paste.

what has happend is when the xbox gets hot the x clamps ave bent the board messing all the solder points up.

if you wanna try it yourself i will get a video for you its easy.

you can fix it without a heat gun but it will not last that long.
i have had mine done a month a go and its still going.

ps don't buy a new one like i did cuz then u will have 2.

i offer the same advice as above, i bought a cheap heat gun from b and q for a tenner, and watched a few tutorials on you tube and done it myself. had no problems at all now.

No matter what you do, you will get conflicting sides to this. You could spend another ?20 on the xecuter RROD kit and fit that, that fixes most RROD + E74, thing is, most fixes are tempory unless done well.

I would personally buy a new 1. In the long run would be best option. New jasper motherboard ect. Argos have new xboxes on now for ?99.

When you say 1 red light. Do you have an error on the screen ie E74?
