just got battlefield bad company 2 for the bairn but it wont play on his 360 or his brothers.

i've been reading up on the iso disc that boots, but am right in reading that this will only work on ixtereme1.60 firmware?

the reason i ask is ryans 360 is old now, that got modded near enough when modding them came about so wont be a ixtreme firmware and sams is a elite which was modded about sept last year, again dont know what firmware is on this.

what would be my options for this lads?

They will need re flashing mate.do you know whats drives are in them?

no idea bud, i know one is a sammy i think, not sure whats in the elite though, i'll see i can find out

For the samsung you want ixtreme 1.61 mate if you know how to flash it yourself?if not theres plenty of guides on here

i aint a clue on how to flash it bud, last time i looked into it i had to use dos.... and well..... me and dos dont mix too well so i give it a miss ha ha

Its easier now with jungleflasher.i think cunnys done a guide on here.have a look and see if u can find it.its pretty straight forward

it doesn't say whats needed though. can this be done on a lappy or does it have to be a desktop?

Im not sure about a laptop i use a desktop and you need the correct sata card and you may need a probe depending on if the elite is a lite on or not

Would be a lot better getting someone to do this for you mate.

The old drives Samsung, Hitachi and Benq take minutes to extract key and flash. Dont pay silly money.

I would recommend ?10 each drive tops.

Someone near by you will be able to do them mate.

looking at the elite i think its a benq drive.

does anyone in the west midlands (just off J16 M40) fancy flashing the elite for me?? i only have the elite here till saturday then the kids are going back home, i dont have the sammy here at all as thats up home.

A benq and liteon tray look same. Best way to tell is to remove the face plate, or look at mfr date on back. Before aug 08 will be a benq drive. After a liteon. Again on what model can depend on MFR date.

might not be of much help, but i been using the activate iso disk to get my games working ,because i cant be arsed flashing mine again, aint had any probs yet just load it first and then take it out and stick game in or play off h/d ad away to go, paulyd2k

i tried that disc mate, put it in and it come with screen (to play this game put it in xbox) took it out and tried the game and still nothing.
