    Elites?

    ive got an xbox now and its been flashed and i want another and have seen theres ?30 difference and id rather pay and extra ?30 too get an elite instead of just a arcade and would like too flash it if i get it? and am wondering is it poddible too flash a elite? thanks in advance

    you can flash any 360,
    however if you buy a brand new one it will most likely be a lite-on 83850c v2 or a 9 series.
    they are a bit more dificult than older drives and need traces cutting and a bit of soldering.

      The only tangible benefit of an elite is the larger harddrive. In reality it just isn't needed. I have had a 20GB drive for 3 years and its not even half full.

        The advantage of a 120gb hard drive is if you play online and download arcade games etc.

        I also install my games to the hard drive as well to save using my dvd drive constantly.

        I will get a 250gb soon as in the near future Project Natal will be arriving and im sure there will be a lot to install on the hard drive.

          I'm not going to be the one flashing it my friend is of he can do it can the elites still get red ring of death also? Thanks in advance

            again if you buy a brand new one it will be a jasper, these are less likely to get rrod than older models.

              Your not understanding, Elites and arcade are the same on the inside.

              It depends on the manufacturing date wheather you get a Falcon or a jasper mobo.

              any console less than a year old will be a jasper, any console newer than aug 09 will have the more difficullt liteons.
