I guess you tried the towel trick then shady, keep trying it as it will probably work for a while, my sons got rrod a few times now and towel trick didnt work 1st couple of times but he just increased the time to 30 minutes and let it cool down about an hour and its worked ever since but I have the stuff to do the X-clamp fix next time he gets rrod.

I got the rrod last week and my box is out of warranty.

Rang MS and they will still fix it for free if you are nice with them. Initially, my box was just freezing every ten minutes and they said they would repair it for ?60. I agreed and gave my card details. Then I got the rrod and rang back. They said as it was the rrod it would be free and they refunded my ?60! Got it in the bank yesterday!

Give them a ring. Its always going to cost less than a new box.

          The number is 0800 5871102

          Cheers,

          Hob
