    own HDD

    hi, i have one free sata hdd. if i buy from ebay xbox drive housing, can i use this drive without any damage to console?

          Maybe however, im sure its only a small subset of drives that work. Western Digitals if memory serves.
          You need to clone firmware as all official xbox hdds have specific firmware that allows ms to detect unoficial drives and ban them.

          I cant remember specifics but google definately does.
