Route to go down for purely offline play.

Hello peeps, i was doing a load of research a while ago into modding my xbox360 , and then the big wave of bans came in with the new COD game ( or there abouts ) and i sorta left the idea alone and haven't bothered since...

But i'm back on the idea again now... and considering i've never used xbox live at-all i'm guessing i dont really need to worry that much about having a modded console..

Can anyone give me a pointer into the best and easiest way to mod my console so it'll play the majority of games ( all the new waves ) with the least stress, as i'm never gonna plug it into live.

I use PC for online gaming, xbox is a pass-the-pad thing for when i got people round, or sometimes hookup a direct connection for a cod night.

EDIT : I'm in Luton , if anyone fancies the job .. saving me some grief and a lot of research till i'm confident enough to do it.

Use the lastest firmware this will allow you to play all games.

Have a look at the guides on here. Whats the manufacture date of your box?

Most likely A 9 series Drive. These are a lot harder to do as soldering is required or using v2 Probe.

I would recommend paying someone to do this for you. Bout ?30 quid should sort it and then you will be able to play all your games no problem.

Not worth buying a Kit which costs around the same just to flash 1 box. Unless you fancy selling it on after you have done it.

A decent car boot or a Comuter fair would be best options. If you go that method, make sure they give you a cd or something with your drive key on so easier to flash the box in the future. Some people take postal orders as well.

2 options available to you mate.

                  1. Install xtreme fw.
                  2. flash with LT.

I can put you in contact with some modders if you wish, one is in nottingham I believe.
