hello all was hoping i could find someone on here that has got some experience with reballing.
So i have bought a rework station and i have a gpu template, i got the gpu of the board and i used solder paste to remove excess solder then used solder brade to remove the rest.
Now when i have my stencil on and put all my solder balls in i have got it all lined up properly but when i go to remove then stencil the balls just go everywhere, now at first you would say my hands are shaking but no they are not.
I was wondering wether i had removed enough solder of the chip as the surface is flat and i cant really see how any solder balls could go ontop of the solder that is left filling the holes. Im using the iron that came with the station but im not sure what watt it is also it is pointed not flat so mabe that is the problem.
Anyway sorry to go on but could someone give me some advice or any tips on how to get the balls to stay in place when removing the stencil.
