lite-on 74850c not dumping !!!

hi guys

again i have one of these drives in

it says 74850c on the drive label
but when i inquiry it its a 74910c
now this is the second ive had that will not dump
says that on the sticker and then 910c on the inquiry in JF

any ideas
as these are not dumping/flashing for me at all

i am soldering the 2 jumpers together on the drive board just to be safe
so i dont have to use my CK3 probe.

mind you it did the same with the probe. BAD DATA ***

Use an older version of JF. Also i use a serial cable instead of USB to dump.

tried an older version, 3 like
still same
also i dont have the comms lead
ive done loads on usb no problems


EDIT

sorted it
i removed the jumper wires
used probe
and did it with the drive half open
all good
