only ever flashed a benq drive how easy is it to flash a hitachi drive?

ive heard u need a auduio cd are sumat aswell ??

Audio CD is needed for 78 and 79 models. Follow the instructions in JF and you will be fine. You can brick them unlike all the other drives.

yes you can dump key and build CFW to flash into benq

Audio cd required for 79 revision only. As for copying key onto a benq, really easy. Read key from hitachi. Load as source in jungleflasher, with benq custom firmware as target, spoof to target. Proceed to flash benq as you normally would

can you use the firmware toolbox 4.5 to read the keys and swap drives over?

Follow the jungleflasher guide on flashing hitachi drives. You can use maximus's firmware toolbox to obtain the original firmware yes. You will need to set mode B on the drive to read it. This can be done with a SLAX cd or using jungleflasher
