Sorry forgot that bit, i was trying to discover for myself if it would actually work so i tried to install it on my pc before i got my xbox(it along with knect have been ordered for delivery nov 10) Would it be a case of missed detail or will it not work. Theirs a 60 mile distance between us.

Distance will have no effect on it mate, I'd double check you have written down the correct card details.

If you have then double check you entered the correct details.

Does the the sky card have 9 or 12 digits what details is it that i actually need from the sky card as i don't think she will be that keen on giving me her personal account details and distance is also a problem, not to mention she live out in the sticks (country side).

There are 9 numbers on a sky card.
It's the big numbers that are in groups of 3...
            Hope this helps you out...

When setting Sky Player up on the xbox all you need it the username (email address) and password. You wont need the card numbers.

One point to note though, unless you have an internet connection faster than 20mb its barely watchable though

I can only get 3.5MB max where I live, and it's fine. Although not so great if I have other computers on downloading stuff, had to turn them off, but yes you'll need her sky username and password not the card number.

She'll just have to trust you that your not going to be upgrading her account!!!

If its not your Account then It will not work, The Account Number will be Paired to the Mac Address / Ip address of the Subscriber Router & PC's.

It will be Limited to 1 or 2 PC's for each Subscribers if it could be shared pretty freely then Everyone would have it by now to exploit.

Its not Something Sky will have forgotten about the possibility of people Sharing the Account details with other People and will have Used Paring MAC/ Ip address or limitations to a Subscriber.

In real Terms Forget it ... its a closed Service provided over the Internet and will be behind servers were all details are stored and logged belonging to each subscriber.

Not sure about that allun. I have a mate who shares his. The whole point of having access to Sky player is to be able to watch it anywhere you go. So if your on the road all the time you can access it from your hotel etc.

It does work but you are limited to 3 pc's and 1 xbox which can only be changed once a month.

You would of thought sky would of stopped it by associated mac or ip addresses by now but they haven't
