    Spoofing Target
    DVD Key copied to target
    Inquiry string copied to Target
    Identify string copied to Target
Serial data copied from Source to Target

not using a chipset. my sata is pluged straight into a spair sata port in my desk top.

i have been told to resend the vendor intro and then power on the dvd drive? but i dont know what it means?

send device/intro to the port its plugged into with drive powered off, then after its sending the device intro, power on drive, it should then go into vendor mode.

          cheers dubs.

drive is now in vendor mode (0x72), when i click the write tab i get this,

          Getting Status from port 0x0960
          Invalid Status 0x80
Sending Vendor Intro to port 0x0960
          Status 0x80
          Re-sending Vendor Intro:
          .....
Serial flash found with Status 0x72

Sending Device ID request to port 0x0960
          Manufacturer ID: 0xC2
          Device ID: 0x11
          Flash Name: MXIC(MX25L2005)
          Flash Size: 262144 bytes

          Getting Status from port 0x0960
          Invalid Status 0x80

then i get a info pop up sayin, drive returned invalid status.

don't know what is going on now, jf froze on me last night so i had to re-set PC. now when go back into jf it cant find my drive which i thought so cuz i have erased it.

How can i get the drive back into vendor mode?

i know the I/O port is correct,

i insert the original dummy.bin to source and spoof firmware OK,

i click on MTK Flash 32 and try re-sending intro/device, i click OK, i turn the drive off then on with the ck3 pro, but nothing happens, just a load of dots at the bottom of the screen then device intro failed!!!

whats going wrong never had this problem b4?

i have been reading up on how to boot to DOS. but to no luck.

tried making a usb pen, but keep on getting ''Exception Processing Message c00000a3 Parameters 75b6bf7c etc'' i press cancel but the usb formats to FAT,OK
i then copy the DOS and the lite_CFW files to the usb,
i re-set PC and change the bios so PC boots from removable (1st choice).
nothing happens? PC boots to windows as if i have done nothing?
i have even changed all options to ''removable'' but PC needs disc to boot.....

what am i doing wrong? has any1 got a better tutorial.

would like to get this drive working as soon as. thanks

go into xbins, under fireware tools there is a usb flash tool, that will make your use bootable.

Put your f/w and dosflash (i normally rename them, 1 for dosflash and 2 for the .bin) onto the usb stick aswell and wen it boots ignore everything click yes not maybe watever until you get the C:

the enter 1.exe with the drive on and it will show up. Please don't get these confused with you own CD/DVD rom. select the number which you want and select write.it will ask you for the file so just enter 2.bin press enter.

it will erase then write to the drive. Alot of people use liteonerase but i don't. normaly if the drive plays up after this it seem to work fine in JF for rewriting to the drive.

If you was closer i would of sorted it free of charge because your a DK member with problems.

if you can't sort it i am will to sort it for postage only. but i will need the key and the drive. would perfer the 360 aswell to test.

still cant boot DOS from PC.

i can format usb to FAT, copy files to usb. i change boot settings so the removable device is priority, then PC boots straight to windows xp??????

any1 live in the dudley area so they can av a look at this drive? cheers..

one question just to put my mine at ease, is this drive still ok to flash?, even though i have erased the drive?????

They probably used a VIA 6421 card to recover the drive, THESE CARDS ARE A MUST for mist drives.
