COD Black ops query

Hello guys

I am just wanting some advice on the new COD black ops. I have a flashed 360 i dont go online with it and i never have been. I have been playing fable 3 and game like new vegas without any problems. im downloading black ops as i speak.i take it the new dashboard update is on it and if i want to play it i will have to accept the dashboard update.Becuase i am only going to be playing it in single player not online. If i update my box to the new dashboard will i still be able to play games like fable 3 and new vegas or will i have problems.I dont want to update to the new dash and not be able to play fable 3 and new vegas any help please on this

No dashboard update on the copy I got today, kids been on it all day, superb game by the look of it !
