xbox 360 e49 code

hi i have an xbox 360 elite and im all of a sudden getting a flashing of 2 red at the top and 2 green at the bottom and it alternates. I found out u can plug a ethernet cable in and the flashing stops and a single light appears with error code e49. does anyone know how to fix this issue thanks in advance emma
