I fancy having a go at JTAG

Hi

I have been given a duff box with e74 which I have now fixed and flashed, I fancy a challence and jtag it, nothing to loose really.

Any decent easy to follow guides?

i done that too mate bought a broke xbox fixed it then thought i would have a go at jtagin it, its actually easier than it looks. i followd this guide Jtag Hack Tutorial : Jtag Hack what motherboard have u got

Motherboard is a Xenon based on the power connector on the back

Xenons are the easy ones!
just get the right files. I would suggest getting a USB nand reader/writer, its quicker and in my experience safer. I have had 3 xboxes die when using LPT. in each case i stopped halfway through the process to pick up later. when i went back i couldnt read the nand - i think i had blown the southbridge somehow.
anyway dont let my experience put you off - i have also successfully done 12 others!
This is the guide i followed - much the same as the others around.

hey mate e74 will not last long you know? when it 1st is fixed it will go back to 1 red light in a months time. i have read about it and i have experienced it. at the end it will not come off red lights at all. just letting you know mate.

try reballing it next time!
