new dash with Kinect

Well i brought the new kinect today so i could see for myself what the fuss was all about...

Not that much of a big deal in my case, i can now move through the dash like tom cruse in minority report... but its still early days yet.

i got a question or 2 though?

i use the kinect on my elite which has not been flashed.
I also have a flashed box which i have not yet updated to the new dash, but i want to connect the kinect to it so i can play the backup games for it. Can i update to the new dash (I WILL NOT BE CONNECTING TO XBOX LIVE while playing the games) will this box be flagged up at MS that it is flashed?

or

is it best not to update, and keep the box the way it is till new firmware is released????? but i would like to play some backup kinect games...

wait till lt+ mate. if you update all them games will get you banned.

i read its only fable 3 what can get you flagged. im not sure if Kinect games have ap2.5 but, if you ask me they are not safe.

Kinect Games don't have AP2.5 with all download updates as of today.

They may be able to be checked via AP2.5 but those checks aren't active, and would be activated via downloaded update.

Better to wait for LT+ But you can update the dash and not get banned at present. Although ap2.5 may become active in kinect games before long.

Add Assassins Creed Brotherhood to the ap2.5 list its on the newsgroups today and been confirmed ap2.5.

I take it genuine discs work even with the new dash and its just "back-ups" affected?

I updated my dash a few days ago and seems to work ok with all my other back up's . I have been using a boot disc tho to get Black ops to play .

Will assasins creed 3 not boot up .??

Im in work now and have it here on the disc, been busting to get home and play it ....... THATS IF IT BOOTS

Its a bit hit and miss mate. More people are getting success with hitachi drives below rev78.

A mate of mine , i dont know what drive he has had no trouble playing fable 3..

am hoping the same can be said about my liteon drive..

Dont even bother a liteon will not boot either fable 3 or ACB on the new dashboard.

The boot disc puts the drive into 0800 mode so it dont check the wave partition, no other reason for using the disc.

IT WILL NOT BOOT FABLE 3 OR ACB!

Just to let you know ..

The disc booted from boot disc, installed

But when u go to play the game it says

Disc unrecogniseable ...?

Can u roll the dash back to a previous version.. ??
