Flashed xbox, kinect, new dash.

I have a flashed xbox with benq drive and lt firmware and have just ordered the kinect for it.

I have never been online and never intend in going online with the xbox so my questions are:-

how do i update to new dash as from what ive been reading you need the new dash for kinect and also

will backups work ok on the flashed xbox with new dash?

I personally wouldnt update until LT+ is released. You can update the dash off a cdr or usb stick, but it will allow ap2.5 to be activated, and Fable 3 will not boot on the new dash. Also you may find that some kinect games wont work.

i thought bans were just for xbox live? if this is the case then it wont matter will it as i never intend to use online gaming.

I will want to use it for kinect games so how would i go about it?
update dash then reflash with lt+,

or flash with lt+ then update dash?
(when lt+ is available of course)

also what is the best way to update the dash? via usb like you said or other?

Sorry perhaps I didnt explain correctly. With the new ap2.5 protection, its not as simple as just getting a console ban off live. With the new protection it stops games from booting on the new dashboard, so if one of the new kinect games carry the protection, then it will not boot!

LT+ wont be released until next year, probably about feburary time.

No its not possible to downgrade your dashboard.

Again, its not about being banned anymore. The new protection will stop games from booting! So you cannot play them. Some drives dont have the new ap2.5 check built in, samsung and certain hitachi drives, but all others have the protection, so will not boot the game on the new dash.

It doesn't matter if you dont play online, it wont boot the game offline.
