Unban an Xbox360

Hi Guys,

I've had a quick search around but maybe I'm not looking hard enough, can't seem to find anything.

I've got an xb360 elite, which was banned from xbox live back when xbox did their happy Halloween mass ban etc. Since then I've just been playin copied games.

Its now come to the point where I'd like to get back online with this box but not sure how to do it or if its even possible.

I've got a spare xbox 360 (old gray model) kicking about somewhere which has the 3rings of death (completely dead, tried everything to fix it)... not sure if I can use any parts out of that?

Short version: No

Long version: economicaly unviable.
It can be done, you will need to invest in some serious gear like reballing stations, computer controlled temp probe infra red heaters and the like, you'll need to transfer over a good few chips (if they're even compatable) (NAND, CPU, NIC and a few ancillaries for starters) a few grand should get you up and running. oh yeah you'll need a donor unit thats definately not unbanned and completely compatable with the banned unit.

Or you could just throw down just over ?100 and get a new unit.
