I can do it mate, what drive is it? You only need send the drive, nothing else. Also if its a liteon, do you have the orig.bin?

Sounds like a v9 liteon or v8 then mate. It will require an MRA hack, which is a bit beyond my realms mate. Ask cunny if he can do it for you.

With baby due I aint takin anythin on. Sounds like the switch is soldered on the underneath?

            Does it look like this?http://mrmodchips.co.uk/catalog/imag...8a8104e5159742

If so this enables easy read/write to the drive
Also when taking drives for modification, its advised to get a copy of your orig.bin/dummy.bin (original fw) for future flashing

it is a switch thats been soldered on,just been given the number of a flasher from round here by me,gave him a ring and he is saying that it needs re-soldering? but will only cost ?15 to get done.

NO the switch allows you to read/write from the drive easily, the hard work has been done by attatching the switch to the PCB. ?15 is about the going rate these days.

If soldering/rework is required, be prepared to pay more, simple flash of firmware should only be approx ?15, but if your drive ever fails and needs replacing, i would get a dump off the drive, get him to email it you or take a USB pen

Depends on the firmware used on the drive, it could well require the MRA hack. Could be more costly, Once its done get a copy of your firmware off the guy for future updates.
