Connected to live tonight for the first time since updating, fired up COD:BO with three mates.
Fired into squad death-match, and halfway through the game i get dumped to the dash with an error saying "your sign in has been modified."
Weird.
Modified... what the hell does that mean? In just what way was it modified? i don't much like the word modified when it pertains to "could be banhammered situations" its a vague ugly word, too open to wild speculation. i don't need options here i want a simple answer...
Fire up live again and nowt, cant connect.
Can connect to the LAN, the internet then bam dumped with live cannot be reached!
Not good. That speculatin' its now in the mode that could be termed "wildly."
Restart, reboot router, check the network settings, all clear, check the actual internet is connected via the laptop.
Check on 1337pwn.com on my android and notice that two of the four of us are still connected.
Test connection, same result... oooh dear, palms beginning to perspire. That tell tale eyebrow twitch being pushed to the forefront of my minds eye.
Phone goes behind me, pick it up. Its one of the mates i was playing with, his brother and myself both dropped at exactly the same time, his bro cant connect either.

So yeah, my night has been a doozy! A night of bizarre coincidence, the internet being routed through china (or whatever the hell caused virgin to drop the ball this week) and a sweaty ass.
On the plus side i did install some damned fine linux
